This program allows to considerably improve the Russian language communication skills, break the language barrier and gain a deeper insight into the Russian culture. For the language classes the students are divided into small groups according to their levels.
The program is conducted entirely online, combining face-to-face lessons (virtual classroom) with virtual cultural activities.
The classes are taught by experts in the field of Russian Language & Russian Studies of Higher School of International Educational Programs.
The program includes:
- Russian Language and Culture lessons: 60 hours (virtual classroom)
- Virtual cultural activities: 10 hours.
Methodology:
- Remote classes through the Zoom platform (non-classroom course).
- Communicative methodology, focused on the students and their academic needs, combining Individual learning with tutoring and self-study activities and cooperative group learning (to practice the theory learned by communicating with the teacher and the rest of the group).
- Interactive tasks and activities.
The program involves 60 hours of learning, from Monday to Thursday, morning till early afternoon, the daily schedule will be defined later.
LEVELS
This intensive program offers the following levels according to the Common European Reference Framework for Languages (CERF): A1 (Breakthrough), A2 (Waystage), B1 (Threshold).

- St. Petersburg Imperial Residence Tour
- The City Tour
Russian Culture (via Zoom meetings)
- Contemporary Russia: mentality and culture
- Film screening and subsequent discussion guided by an expert tutor
REGISTRATION DEADLINES
Recommended registration period: May 01st - May 28th , 2022
Late registration deadline: June 20th, 2022.
PROGRAM FEE: 300 € per each student: a special reduced price for Madrid Polytechnic University students as strategic partner.

The intensive course enrolment fee covers:
- Teaching materials
- Cultural program
- Certificate of achievement with the obtained grade and accomplishment
ASSESSMENT AND CERTIFICATES
Students will be awarded an official SPbPU certificate, based on attendance and performance, stating the course level and attaining grade, duly signed and sealed. The certificate includes the level, attendance (80% compulsory), grades and 8 ECTS (6 per academic activities + 2 per cultural activities).
